New lake record for Kaw Lake

Got a text from a buddy today. He was jug lining on Kaw lake. Had a jug popping up and down, so he grabbed it. Thought it was stuck on something, but then it started pulling back. Took him awhile to get it in.
65 pound blue cat.

I am guessing that ca. 2 lbs. of that fish are mercury, DDE, PCB, and Dieldrin.

A fish that size, would it be worthy table faire? My 5-6 lb. blue cat caught earlier this year was rubbery and tough.

At any rate, that is one big, ugly fish. It's scary to think what lurks in the murky waters.
