New Indoor Range Report

They rent full auto ar's and ak's...so the ak would be no problem...I just don't think it is the place to go with the Mosin...it is a little loud.

Steve and I went to the range today. We broke out the VEPR in 7.62x54R, definitely gets some attention with the muzzle break.
Definitely a LOUD rifle. Compensated for the Quiet-22's I was shooting ;)

Had a lot of fun. Shot my first Browning High Power. Steve had some fun .22's, let me shoot his AR-15 an excellent Timey trigger in it. Made me want a 4" Kimber :D

I went one evening last week with a couple of friends & I can attest to the staff being friendly.

New member "Ken" was the RSO when we went. He saw my .357 snubbie that was similar to his and let me check out some larger grips that he had replaced on it. He even insisted that I fire his to feel the difference! He was great. I was telling him about Shootzenfest - I am certain that he would fit right in!

We went over around 6:30 and had no wait for 3 adjoining lanes - had the place to ourselves by 7:00pm...
I thought that it was a good experience & much more convenient for me to go there as I live on James Island.

Welcome to the forum Ken - I hope that you will find everyone as friendly, interesting and informative as I have.

-Jeff

Wow, thanks, so many web boards, so little time. Good to meet you and thanks for the welcome. With the range being only 10 minutes away I'm there almost every other day. See you again soon.
