New guy here just wondering if you had some recommendations on how to get started in some competitions, never competed before but would like to get started.

you came to the right place, lots of good info already posted up, and many people will be willing to help you.

Welcome to Boomer Shooter

The best way to get started is to check out where the ranges are in your area.

I'm not around your area, but I'm sure that more will chime in to let you know the closest range to you.

Almost every range in Ok is listed on here, and a post to the one you want to go to, will result in some reply's.

The folks on here will help you know the rules, regs of any type of competition your wanting to get into.

I would suggest a steel challenge, or fun shoot at several of the ranges for a beginner. You'll get an idea of how things go.

People in the shooting world are very friendly about helping new shooters, so don't be intimidated. :D

What's up man! Don't be afraid to ask any questions these guys are very helpful.

The Heartland Outdoors match in Edmond is a good one to start out with, welcome to the forum

H&H is also a very good match to start out at, if pistols is your interest (or one of your interests). 2nd Sunday of every month. Sign up is at 5:30ish, $15, and about 150 rounds.
