New guy with questions

i was just curious if i would be losing anything that would help me later. Does anyone know if they will be doing a classifier in the tulsa area anytime in the near future?

May have to sign my wife up for horseback riding lessons one weekend so i can sneek off to go to one haha

listen over the next couple of weeks, by her chocolates, flowers and other things randomly, then when you leave she won't have a problem with it.. also poems are great also, i wrote one for my wife

Roses are red
I like having sex in our bed
Violets are blue
I like getting hummers too

yes i really did give that to my wife and yes it made her smile!!!

Or just man up. I told all 3 of my ex wives that at one time or another. It only hurts for a little while.

she really doesnt care she just hates it when i drag her along to take picures haha i told her if she takes a lot of pictures everyone would appericate it and she didnt buy that line at all

I'd hate to be a match director who has to figure out what the other clubs have shot, so as to not duplicate classifiers. Eff that.

Uspsa does that for you. You just click on each club and see what they have used.

I'm trying to figure out how many mags I would need for a typical match if I was shooting limited with 15 rnd mags. What is the average round count per stage for uspsa assuming I don't miss that much? Would 3 be enough?

I would take 4. Even if 3 would be enough, it would limit your stage planning in terms of when/where to change mags.
It's not unheard of to do a mag change after 6 shots if that's the optimal time/place. Also, how do you know you don't miss much if you've not done it yet? Action shooting is much different than target shooting, you may be surprised.

I take 3 20rnd mags on my belt & 1 in the gun. I may only use 2, but then again I may use all 4 if I have a malf or the stage is set up for multiple mag changes. It's always better to have & not need than to need & not have. Not finishing a stage because you ran out of ammo would suck.

I've shot a few multi gun matches and some steel challenge but never a uspsa match. I wanted to do some digging first so I can come prepared. Nothings worse than looking like a noob even though I am one

If you're short on mags, There'll be someone willing to loan you a couple for the match.

Nothings worse than looking like a noob...........

No, the worst thing is waiting and waiting and planning and procrastinating and buying gear you don't need becasue some guy said you might need it, and waiting some more, so...

JUST GO SHOOT!!!!!!!

(free advice from a match director)

most guys are glad to help, and
any shooter that picks on or complains about noobs needs a serious attitude adjustment
