Hey all I've been reading The forum for a few years now and finally joined. I've always loved the 1911 style it just feels good in the hand and looks Great. I only have one at the moment and it's special to me because i fit it from a parts kit and frame from Sarco! 45 of course. I would like to eventually get a nice short barrel CCW and for the future.....one in each available caliber. When my kids move out maybe.

Welcome to the forum from northern Illinois. For a nice short barrel 1911, I'd suggest you look at any of the "Ultra" (3") Kimbers. My EDC is an Ultra Tactical .45, I have 3 other Ultra Kimbers in both 9mm and .45.
