Hey Ya'll. New guy to this board. I've lurked a few times, but never signed on cuz the last thing I really need is another forum to occupy my time. But there seems to be a pretty good crew here, so what the hell. My user name from most the other forums is shooter115, which is just a spillover from when I was active in the drag racing forums where my username was octane115.
About me: I grew up around guns and hunting here in MN. My dad was a FFL, gunshop owner and gunsmith. Grew up in the country and was shooting and wandering around the woods alone by about age 6. Did a lot of dumb elephant dung and survived. Was reloading at a very early age and 20 years ago, my 16th birthday present was my own reloading set up. My old man had us shooting AR's for predator hunting way before it was cool.
Nowadays, I am an active officer in our local gun club and host numerous matches in several disciplines and trying my damdess to get the action shooting sports going out here in the middle of rural western MN.
Before being introduced to the action shooting sports I shot a lot of benchrest, F-Class and indoor 4 position rimfire. It was at a long range, timed event event I hosted several years ago that a bunch of the Nordic Components crew came to shoot. They talked me into going to a Ruger Rimfire match and from there I learned of these things called 3-gun matches and the MN 3gun group. After doing some digging I got hooked up with this guy by the name of Brian Payne who mentored and convinced me to come to my first multi-gun match in the fall of 2011. The rest is history, been hooked on the sport ever since.
So far my major match schedule for this year includes TFD coming up in about 6 weeks, MW3GC, The Nordic SG match here in MN and hopefully BR3GC this fall.
Anyways, There's the Cliff notes, I'm too ****in lazy to type out a full bio and I have to go to bed anyways. Look forward to seein ya'll at some matches.
