Background: Shoot more 3 gun than anything. Mix in USPSA matches to have more match time in.

Looking at buying a Glock 35 and outfit it as a Limited rig in USPSA, but also get mags and a conversion barrel to be able to run 9mm in 3 Gun with the same rig.

Is this something that is typically done, or would I be better of getting a G34 & a G35 and matching them with the same parts?

What's better to buy a G34 and convert to G35 or vice versa? I guess the only thing on the frame that need changing is the ejector?

From what I understand Jesse, is that you can go from .40 to 9mm but not the other way around.
Understand that with the Lone Wolf barrel there's no need for the extractor swap.

Correct. You can go from 40 to 9, but not 9 to 40. barrel is bigger for the 40 so it won't fit in a 9mm frame. The 40 to 9 barrel is pretty thick.

You can't go from 9mm to .40S&W because of the breachface of the slide. Won't accomodate the larger cartridge rim.

For 3 gun, you are better of just to get a G34. The problem with conversion barrels is, they may, or may not run 100%, even with changing the ejector and extractor. I tried with my G24 and got to about 95%. The small frame Glocks are all the same lowers, except for the ejector in the trigger group. G17/G34/G17L/G22/G35/G24/G31. But the 40S&W/.357SIG barrel OD is .022" larger in diameter and the breach face tab is .015" wider than a 9mm. So to run 40S&W on a G34, you would have to switch the entire upper.

Already bought a 35. Will likely be shooting equal amount of pistol/3-Gun. If all else fails, still have my M&P9 Pro or run the .40 in 3-gun too.
