The new carbon fiber ones are pretty bad ass check some of them out, and also Arrow Head (former Kings Pawn) in Del City is a really good place to go look they have really good archery pro shop and sell Alpine bows, PSE, and some other name brands at good prices. I go here for all my bow hunting needs. http://www.arrowheadarcheryproshop.com/

PSE, Mathews, Martin, Alpine all make good bows. With the price range you are looking at it will be the higher end bows. Oklahoma Archery sells PSE and Mathews. H&H sells bows not sure what makes. And Arrowhead Archery in Del City, they have an indoor range to test out the bows. I know Jeff the owner at Arrowhead Archery you would be hardpressed to find a better guy and he will set you up with what you need.
