need help on jp lower

My selector switch is sloppy. it will stay in fire and will stay in safe...barely, its not a crisp "pop" into position. Its not so loose that it just swings, I have tried a different different grip, spring, and dedent. So I thought about changing the selector. But once I took the grip off, spring and dedent out, the selector wont come out?

Anybody ever get this?
Anybody know a fix to my problem?

If it is a CTR-02 or a SCR-11 this is normal, as it is competition based. If it is a J.P. 15 you ended up with a competition tuned spring in a regular grip. Slightly streach the safety spring, or get a new spring and all will be well. The reason it won't come out is that the fire control group (mainly trigger) has to be removed before the safety can be pulled out. I like to streach my spring a bit so it has a definit detent. I usually do it with a pair of side cutters and GENTLY press it into 3 coils and wedge them apart and then straighten the spring by hand. 2-3 generaly does what you are looking for. KurtM
