Looking for a place to hunt turkey this year. Currently dont have a place and got my turkey tags yesterday so time is close. Im close to the Myrtle Beach area so something close would be awesome. Also not looking for a lease, looking for a nice guy with some land that wouldnt mind a responsible hunter sitting on a few mornings next month.

Oh I've searched, and spoke with a few 4-500 bucks and have to share small plots with a bunch of other people. Not worth it to me.

Bradley, I wasn't trying to hurt your feeling or be a smart mouth. It is too risky to not be covered. I lease land to a hunting club and if they fall out of a stand they may be fine about not suing but their relatives may think otherwise. Even if they don't win, you can be bankrupt and lose the property from the expense. If you were down here I'd say check with this club. They hunt turkey every year. I don't know if they want other members right now.

i know there isnt as much as there used to be but have you looked for Game Management land?

some people are afraid of there being too many people there but i used to hunt it all the time and never had a problem.

i usually never saw anyone else.

get a rules and regulation book at wal mart. to hunt on game management you have to get a permit thats $30.50 but you also have to have a big game permit. thats why i always bought a sportsman license. it is a State hunting and fishing with Game Man permit and big game permit. they used to be $55. it works out to be close to the same unless you dont want state, just a county.

and if you have a child for 2 years, 15 and 16 they can get a jr sportsman for $16 per year. deer and turkey are big game.
