Guys

I have received the slots for both of the national matches, I got 11 for the limited/open match in St. George Utah on Sept. 27-29, and 6 for the Production match at USSA on Oct. 16-19.

After talking to the club reps we have agreed the fairest way to distribute these slots is by random draw with the following requirments

1 Be a current member of USPSA

2 Have at least 7 classifiers on file at USPSA showing that you have shot within the Okla Section from March1 2012 to March 1 2013.

3 Be 110% sure that you will attend either matches that you ask for.

For those wanting a slot please email me at [email protected] and tell me which one you are asking for before May 1, any unclaimed slots I will need to send back to USPSA before June 3.

I would like to have the drawing for both slots at OKC on May 4, we will draw 11 for the Lim/Open plus 6 alternates in case the people drawn cannot go, and 6 for the Production match with the same alternates. This way everyone has the same chance to go if they meet the requirements and there is no wondering who got the slots. Just please be sure you are current and classifiers are posted.

Thanks
Rob Elston

That sounds pretty darn fair right there!

I just wish I would have hit the classifier match at H&H now.

The wait list opens up June 3, I've never seen them turn anyone down

I've never done the Nationals thing. How and where do you go to get on the wait list?

I wouldn't say this is 100% correct.

They only take people off the wait list as slots are returned. Last year the wait list was 200-300 deep - not all of those people got in.

HOWEVER - THEY HAVE NEVER TUREND ANYONE DOWN who has just WALKED UP.

So your best bet - on June 3rd - get on the wait list. If something happens you don't get in from the wait list - just show up and see if they let you walk on.

On June 3rd they have a place on USPSA website where you can get on the wait list - you pay a fee to be on the list - it looks like its $25 this year. So basically you wake up early and hit refresh over and over and over and over then as soon as the list is live (10am or something) you hurry and sign up and pay your $25.

As HQ starts getting slots back that arent used - they then start distributing them to those on the wait list.

So even a lowly "D" class shooter could be picked and get to shoot at Nationals ?

This is true, I should have been more clear about the walk on.

Yes any body can shoot the nationals as long as they have a slot or walk on at the match

So I hear thru the grapevine that OK has lots of slots left for the Limited/L10/Open Nat'ls in St George.
What gives? No body wants to go to Utah? Should be a hell of a match.
Its shame to see those slots given away to other sections.

MO is about to give away all its slots too.

Did the slots get drawn today at the OKC match?

Yes Rob sent an email out about 10 min ago

From Rob

Today we drew for the Production National slots that we got from USPSA, congratulations to the following

Brook Boswell
Doug Bowdler
Mitch Harrington
Lance Jensen
Kelly Raglin
Eric Gambill

As you know I sent back the slots for the Lim,Lim10, and Open in hopes of getting to exchange them for more Production, if we get them the following below will be the order which they will be passed out. I don't know when this might be, but will inform all when I receive them.

Mike Rush
Jeff Brumbaugh
Jason Albro
Seth Martin
Chad Stanton
CK Panther
Robert Carlile
Steve Marx

Seth gave up his drawn slot to me. For some crazy reason he thinks its more important for me to have a guaranteed spot at nats than him. I argued with him for an hour about this but he emailed Rob to request the transfer.

Good friend...

Here's the deal. Someone who has been shooting in a division for as long as Eric(A couple years) deserves the chance to represent OK at the biggest match in USPSA. Plus if you guys new how much training he was doing to get ready for the majors this year you would agree, He is at the top of his game. I am still learning production so I still have at least a year of heavy training before I can compete at the same level as him. If he has a chance to bring in AT A MINIMUM a top 16 Finish(I am predicting a top 5) then what kind of teammate/friend would I be if I didn't give him every opportunity to compete.

I have very little doubt that I will get into nats via waitlist(2 years ago I was #2 on the Lim/Prod waitlist) however if there is a chance that one member of our team CANT go I would rather it be me than him. I am still going even if I am just hanging out taking pictures and videos and such. You know MULE stuff.

Moral of the story is: I'm a EG Fanboy. HAHAHA
