A friend of mine from Ardmore is involved in NAGA. I wonder if he is going to be there. Do you have to qualify for the Championship?

I went and watched the last couple of his matches. BADASS! Kudos to feegee for taking home two medals in one day. The one I saw him win was a 3rd place medal and he had to get all sweaty with some big, meaty guys to take that hardware home. His son also took home two medals!

I did GI and no GI. I got 3rd in both divisions, I could have done a lot better but my nerves got to me. The only time I got beat was when the guy just "laid and prayed" on me. I was never in any danger of getting submitted. I got some vids up on YouTube. I will put one on here. I even won a engraved samurai sword. Not to bad for a old fat man!

I know I had a hard time I was torn between the two. But then it came to me go shoot with a bunch of cool guys or go roll around with a bunch of sweaty men???
I figured I would get this one in before someone beat me to it LOL JK. It was bad ass and very intimadting there were over 1000 competitors. Any time you want to come check it out shoot me a pm

No Gi means shirtless and in shorts, usually board shorts. Or compression shorts. Think Anderson "Spider" Silva.
Gi means full top, bottoms, and belt. Think classic Royce Gracie.

I find No Gi to be more difficult. There aren't as many grab or choke points in No Gi. In Gi, we can and do use the sleeves, leg cuffs, for leverage. And it's common to choke someone out by using their collars.
