My First PCC Build

A few suggestions:
Trigger- I've been using a Hiperfire 24c in my PCC and really like it. It has been 100% for the 300rds I've put through the rifle (new build) with the same operating system you're using. With a discount code at Optics Planet I was able to get the trigger for $188 shipped.
Optic- I've got a Vortex Spitfire AR 1x on my PCC, and have Aimpoint H1s to compare it to. I feel like the reticle of the vortex is easier to pick up, and the etched reticle is more crisp for my eyes.
Grip- I, too, have big hands. I have the Ergo on my main 3G rifle, and tried the Magpul K2+ on my PCC. I really like the angle of the K2 better and will likely be putting one on all my rifles.
Charging handle- I'd recommend a charging handle with a larger latch, the heavier sprung SCS is easier to overcome with an oversized latch and handle.
Thanks for the suggestions! I'll definitely check these out.

Well, I finally got all of my parts in the mail and I got everything put together tonight. I did find out that my CMC trigger would not reset reliably so I ordered a Rise Armament trigger from Tony with an ergo grip as well.

Everything seems to cycle well with the PSA/JP/DPMS combo that I have going on so hopefully it'll run smooth once I put some rounds through it as well.

Can't wait to get it to the range and see how it shoots!

I think they come as a complete unit
I thought so too. I ordered mine from JoeBob Outfitters and it didn't come with the spacer which sucked since I'm running the Ace skeleton stock. So I emailed their customer service department and they said that none of their 9mm SCS buffers came with the spacer so they're contacting JP to see what was up and will get back to me.

I ordered some spacers to sell separately for people wanting to swap their carbine setup over to a rifle stock. If JP doesn't include the spacer with the 9mm SCS I guess I'll have to order some more. I'll find out shortly.

They include it with the 223 SCS, I never thought it wouldn't be included with the 9mm version.

Just got a text back from JP, it is not included with the 9mm version.

Took the rifle to the range today. I had to swap out the buffer tube to a carbine length to use the SCS buffer since I'm waiting on the spacer for my rifle length tube. Everything worked great. I did have some problems with the Rise Armament RA-140 trigger. Every 5-10 rounds the trigger wouldn't reset and I had to push it forward. However after I got through about 150 rounds it seemed to work fine and I didn't have any problems with it after that. Below is a picture of my target at 25 yards which I'm really happy with. I also uploaded a video to youtube talking about my build if anyone wants to watch it.

I am happy to say the PSA/DPMS/JP combo has worked 100% so far. Only issue has been the trigger which I believe has worked itself out with the break it.

1 question I had for everyone, what distance do you set your red dot at for USPSA? 15 yards and then hold over/under for the longer/shorter targets?
