As I said I was not completely satisfied with the Encore at ShootzenFest.
I had the .308 barrel cut down to 9" and a brake fitted to it.

I have not had a chance to fire it yet as it just got here today.
However I expect the recoil to be much reduced.
I still need to pick up a scope or a red dot for it.
Anyone have a silver pistol scope they want to sell or trade?

Please don't let Enjay play with that thing if I'm around!

Now my AR308 with the break won't be so annoying if I let you shoot that first. :D

P.S. That looks so outrageous!!

Wow! 8-) I have an AR-10 with a muzzlebreak because that is the only way they came in NY where I lived when I bought it. It was never popular at the range with anyone within a bench or two. THAT will likely be much less so but I bet it tames the recoil well. :o

Jeffnin, I was thinking the same. With that break, I expect it to clear the benches to either side with ease.

I am going to test fire it tomorrow.
It won't have sights or a scope on it yet.
It should have within a few days though.
I am torn between a red dot and a scope.
Opinions?

If you plan to use it for your average shooting distances, I would go with the red dot. However, if you want to reach out and touch some targets more often than not? Get the scope then. I guess you have to think about how much and how far to really decide.

After the last AR pistol build with the 7 1/2" barrel.....you need to go with one of the 1 mile range green lazers...Then, you don't have to put your face near it to aim...

I think we might have lost an eyebrow or two on that one...

Go lazer...

Here is a video of me test firing it.
Other than the pressure wave and noise level it is downright pleasant to shoot.
You cannot see any fireball it was full daylight and my phone may just not be fast enough to catch it.
I hope to get some low light video soon

Maybe I am just stronger than you thought I was LOL!
It really is mild.

I am going to put a scope on it.
I guess I will go ahead and get one on order next week.
I am still hopeful I might pick up a good used one though.

I was somewhat amazed at the recoil.........If that is the norm, you should get reasonable reliability from a quality scope.

I blew the guts out of a couple of Bushnell Phantom 1x3s on Ruger 357 and 44 mags back in the 70s.....I look forward to pics of your pistol with the scope...
