This is my 1911. The slide has been cerakoted courtesy of Jared at Cold Hand Arms.

Should have masked off the front sight; good luck hitting anything.lol. Other than that, looks great.

Couldn't get the tape to stay on the front site. I blacked out the front sight this evening and looks really good. I also replaced the disconnector with a Cylinder & Slide Match Disconnector this evening. I did it in under an hour. Thanks to the Kunnhauser shop manual and youtube.

Nope, no clue. I was actually impressed with how easy it is to take apart the gun and get it all back together.

I have used electricians tape to tape off areas like that before. It sticks to itseld pretty good. Looks good!

Mike C. replaced the thumb safety for me. I needed an ambi-safety since I'm left handed. The frame does have a serial number but no other rollmarks to know who manufactured it. It fits the slide very well and everything functions smoothly. I have had ZERO malfunctions with this gun. It's the first 1911 I've ever shot (besides Brian's) that hasn't had a malfunction.

I'm not overly concerned. I blacked out the front sight. Thanks to you Mike, I was able to replace the disconnector in under an hour. It was my first time to take the gun all the way apart.

I would like to get some new sights installed sometime.

That's partially the lighting. It has some noticable wear due to the previous owner.
