Gen 3 Glock 19. Just got it back from Mark Housel at L & M Precision in Prescott and I am blown away with his work. My wife bought me a Trijicon RMR for an anniversary gift and I sent it to Mark to get the slide milled, cerakoted, and have Trijicon suppressor height night sights installed. He did it for one of the best prices I have seen and turn around, door to door was 2.5 weeks. Other things done to the gun are Zev Tech competition spring kit and race connector, Zev Tech duty trigger kit, and vickers slide and mag release. I thing this thing is perfect now. Just had to do some cutting on a few of my holsters to get it to fit but its no big deal. If anyone is looking at getting an RMR installed on their carry gun, Mark does great work. It looks good and Glock and Trijicon are among my favorites in the gun world.

But... why did you elect to carry a Glock with an RMR red dot sight on it for your CCW piece? The overwhelming majority of self-defense shootings are at contact-distance and don't require sight-picture, let alone transitioning between multiple targets.

I'm not knocking it. I'm just curious and asking for a delineation of your thought process. If it is "good enough" then it might motivate me to send off my Glock 17 slide to get fitted with one, myself.

No worries brother. Its been on my to do list for a while. I do use this as a competition pistol as well so it does double duty. The Trijicon on it is the RM05 dual illuminated version so no batteries which for SD is beneficial. My natural draw stroke allows me to acquire the dot quickly and i find myself not having to take the extra milisecond to align my sights as their is now a 9moa dot in its place. Rapid follow ups and transitions from one target to another are incredibly fast. It really isnt that hard to carry and honestly the hardest part on my side was A. being away from my glock for that long and B. taking the time to dremel my holster. I love this gun so much now.

No worries brother. Its been on my to do list for a while. I do use this as a competition pistol as well so it does double duty. I did put the tall night sights on so I can still use it as I would have without the RMR. The Trijicon on it is the RM05 dual illuminated version so no batteries which for SD is beneficial. My natural draw stroke allows me to acquire the dot quickly and i find myself not having to take the extra milisecond to align my sights as their is now a 9moa dot in its place.
