MVSA Choate Multi-Gun Melee October 10 - 13, 2013

ROs and staff on Thursday and Friday. Everyone else on Saturday and Sunday. If any non-staff needed to shoot on Thursday and Friday, that would not be a problem.

Well since nobody complained your stuck with the Waddling fat man in squad 2. Don't say I didn't warn Y'all. Looking forward to meeting you guys. I guess I will at least have to practice one time between now and then.

Wall and I stayed at a free room I had at a Laquita last time. Google the range location then google nearby hotels and go from there. If you're looking for the best $20/night hotel recommendation I'm not your guy. I kinda like soap, towels and a pillow when I drive 7 hours to shoot a match.

Not even close. Having a wife that runs our business and uses credit cards that accumulate hotel points to pay our bills at work gets me spoiled. That is If you can call the Laquita a spoiler.

the laquinta was nice, I just couldn't figure out why Jesse kept buying me all those drinks at the bar.

Here is some info for you OK guys coming down. I live about 30 min from the range and shoot matches there about once a month.

Hotels in Hot Springs will be closest for the match. Next would be in Benton or Bryant - they'll be about a 35 min drive. Little Rock is about 45-60 min away. FYI - there are some dry areas around Hot Springs as well as Benton/Bryant. Some Restraunts serve alcohol in these areas but if your in one of the dry areas, there are no liquor stores and no gas stations will have any.

The range is set up in 4 sections - the match is on the action shooting area and the rifle bays, which are on opposite ends of the property. I'd suggest a cart for the action shooting area, but be ready to drive out to a couple stages. It wasn't bad last year.

I visited with the MD recently and we discussed stages and schedule. While not working the match, I did offer up some stages for them to use. We'll see how they turn out. As far as schedule, I'd expect to shoot Saturday and Sunday to be safe. There is the possibility of shooting it all in one day - we finished last year around 4 - so I'd make sure and pack all of your ammo on Saturday.

It looks like I am going to have to miss this match. I would gladly give my slot to someone as I am not going to ask for a refund. I am squaded with Jesse himself. So if you would like to shoot this and haven't paid for a slot let me know and i will try to get them to switch you for me. Or you could just go and say you were me but most of you would have to gain 100lbs and shoot Open. Let me know
