I bought a gun from someone who had installed an aftermarket muzzle brake/flash suppressor on it (YHM Birdcage). The brake is not screwing on properly and when at max tension the bottom of it (it has slits in 4/5 of it and the bottom is solid) is to the side. It has a washer with it and regardless of how I turn the washer (the sides of the washer are different, one is concave and the other is convex) or even if I remove it the brake won't line up properly with the orientation of the barrel/gun. How can I get this brake to properly align and be screwed on tight at the same time?
