Here is the list of the books that I have or am currently reading. I would consider these must read for anybody that wants to improve their game. I have them listed from top to bottom in my order of preference.

Brian Enos - Beyond Fundamentals
Michael Paxco - Shooting from Within
Kyle E. Lamb - Green Eyes and Black Rifles, Warriors Guide to Combat Carbine
Saul Kirsch - Perfect Practice
Steven Andersen - Refinement and Repetition, Dry Fire Drills for Dramatic Improvement
Steven Andersen - Principles of PerformanceLanny Bassham - With Winning in Mind
Matt Burkett - The Practical Shooting Manual

I've always liked zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance

With Winning in Mind by Lanny Bassham has seriously helped my match consistency. It sounds really corny when you first start reading it, but he talks a lot about techniques for mental consistency - meaning that your mind is in the same place and going through the same steps every time you get ready to shoot. I used to have a lot of problems shooting at my peak level when I was nervous(Big matches, classifiers, etc). I had a waaaay better season after finishing this book.

I'm anxious to read Mike Seeklander's new books.

But to Jesse's list I would add: 'The Talent Code' and 'Outliers'
Dont tell anybody though...

Has anyone read The Inner Game of Tennis? I've heard there are a lot of parallels to shooting.

Just received Seeker's book in the mail....
I've skimmed thru it. Nice color cover. Paper looks to be of heavier stock. 299 pages or so.
I'll dive into it tonight.

Might be worth starting a thread on the book, for discussion, cussing, etc.....(Jesse?)

Let us know how it is in a few months when you finish a chapter or maybe a half a chapter.

Sounds great I will have Brandon start a thread. I am about as good at building AR15's as I am at starting threads.

Here is a thread that I started after receiving one of Mike's emails on the book. Mike Seeklander's Shooting Performance Book Release Thread

I have contacted Mr. Seeklander about having his own forum section for stuff like this. I know he has already signed up on Boomer Shooter. I am hoping we will get his feedback from our questions and reviews of the book. Maybe that will spark a new stand alone Shooting Performance forum.

Man its great to have some of the top guys in the sport like Mike, Phil, Mike C, Troy, and Mike P on this forum!

I appreciate that last line, JT. I however definitly do not belong in that category. I shoot 2 matches a month (if I'm lucky) and that's it. I never train, just kinda coast by. But it is 2011, and things are gonna change!

Oh come on Troy! I forgot to add Chris A to that list. I'd at Kurt M but he won't join the forum.

I forgot to add that I received my copy if Mike's book Monday as well. I should have it read with a full book report by the weekend.

Ordered Mike's book last night. I sure hope the book ships alot faster then the estimated 27 Jan 2011 delivery date the website gave me.
