Keeping at it down here in Pickens...

Been making a few slicers..

This one below however fell victim to a worn belt. It was a sad moment.

Not to be beaten down. I bounced back and got this one all cleaned up..

While I wait for a fresh restock of belts, I decided to get a round of blanks cut. This week will see a slicer in Micarta finished. Also make blanks for an ARK Mod. III, SPK, SSK, Slicer and a Dos Reissue (hopefully this one survives).. Also got the 8th BOC started.

Sometimes you just got to work. I got this one cleaned up a bit tonight.

I'll heat this one tomorrow.

This is what I've got done in the past few weeks that is still here. Most everything else is gone..

Also picked up some knives on closeout to peddle. Hopefully with the blanks, knives in process and these I should be able to scrap some fund together for a new grinder.

Think I am going to keep a CQC-7 for myself.. Had one in Iraq and loved it..

Is that the short CQC7 or the normal one (short has less than 3" blade IIRC)?

I've got full-size ones on my GTFO rigs, but always looking for a shorty for less than the $130 retail.

I only have the 3.3". I can get a few Mini with a combo blade for 125 shipped. Let me know.

I can't wait to buy some new tools and start playing with grinding steel......what steel are you using? Is it from Aldo?

Thank fellas. I am still new at this, and love the process and learning.

PB, I am using O-1 from online metals. I've order from Aldo before, and his shipping was a bit higher than OM. Plus OM give a 10% on all order over a 100.00 and takes paypal, so buying it using my PP I get no interest for 6mo and usually $10.00 back on my order.
