we went there while back, was ~$50 for 3 people & 3 year old.

my friends said same thing, a couple and their teenage daughter, was like $45 or so.

my food was AWESOME, but my wife won't go back now.

we paid $24 for two people at MusicMan this weekend, i thought that was expensive
wife had one plate, i had one, plus another small bowl of BBQ for desert :)

i guess we don't really THROW DOWN enough to justify paying that much for a buffet?

how many plates do you guys eat to get your $$$ worth?

It's not how many plates you get it's what you put on the plate. I sample the filler items and go high and deep on the good stuff on the first round. Seond trip is all good stuff. If after the second plate full and satisfied I feel like I got my monies worth.

You pay for the convenience and variety...I've paid $30/person for calabash buffet...crab legs were included...typically I spend $10 for my food at fast food places...gf and I usually rack up $50-60 at a sit down restaurant..then add a 20-30% tip...

wow.

there are places you can go and they cook for you?

i bought my wife a $500 glass top stove. of course ive eaten plenty good for that money.

deer cube steak and gravy, Spaggetti mmmmmmmm CAKE. she is famous for her red velvet cake. when someone at her work has a birthday they beg her for a cake.

maybe i can get her to make a couple for shootzenfest, or how many dozen cupcakes?

I think Eatig at buffets is a sure fire way to feel ripped off. The entire premise is bad. How much food *should* you eat? 1 plate is plenty. I prefer to go to a resturaunt that makes good food, to to order. With very few exceptions you'll eat better food and portions.

I like most am guilty of over eating from time to time but I prefer to judge my meals by quality rather than weight.

I stopped there last night with my wife.

It was $11.49 per person for the buffet with a drink - total $25.51, no tip.
Dining out taxes are ridiculous!

Since most places I eat out, drinks are more or less $1.99.
If you drink water, you're out of luck, no discount.
Food cost, $9.50

Brisket was great,
Pork and Hash not that good,
Chicken was good but only dark meat left
Banana pudding was very good
Fried okra was nicely fried but the batter was a little too salty

For the meal and price I paid, I consider it reasonable.

Seems about right. In modern times even fast food typically runs ~$7 or more if you're not hitting the value menu. Anywhere with an actual sit down table and waitresses to refill your drinks I don't even think of spending less than $12 per person, and $20/person is not uncommon. If you think that's bad you should try some sushi bars sometimes. At Tsunami's in Mt. Pleasant I ended up spending over $60 for just me once . . .

I was sad to see the Moose's Permanently Closed signage.

They closed up shop in Summerville?

I heard it was never as good as when they were in Moncks Corner by Trident Tech.......I used to eat there EVERY Thursday at 11AM when they opened, lol.
