I hate those bastards I started mixing deer corn with poison may that will entice them to eat up. I haven't tried the live trap or smokers, during the winter I thought about connecting a hose from my exhaust to one of there dens.

My uncle used to have a contraption that took a .410 shotgun shell and had a barrel that pointed down the hole. The mole ran into a trip that fired the shell and no more mole. I don't know whatever happened to it. Probably a good thing, I can only imagine the liability attached to that thing.

For the record, moles leave surface tunnels that are visible to the naked eye, and gophers leave mounds of dirt.

I have both, living in the country. Years ago I built a device to what jcameron996 has seen using a ruger mark II pistol for gophers. Motion detector along side the barrel that triggered a solenoid switch attached to the trigger that would fire when the gopher came up the hole when I opened it.
Worked like a charm, but it freeked my wife out because she was sure one of the dogs was going to get into the line of fire trying to dig them out. My Britt is like BobS761's lab, so even though it was very effective, I had to abandon the project.

I have a hose attachment bought at ACE hardware that attaches to the exhaust pipe of a vehicle, then to a garden hose to stick down in the hole. I'm not sure of how well that works, Don't know if they put a plug in a tunnel to block it, or what, but its moderately effective.

I've done the black hole traps with moderate success, but you have to dig up your yard to make them really effective.



The killer trap for Gophers is the gophinator. I've trapped close to a hundred or more with these jewels. ((http://www.thegophinator.com/

They also offer mole traps that are scaled down versions of the gopher traps.

The gophinator looks legit thanks Dennis I will order a couple. This year is the first year I have ever had a mole i think he avoids the poison. Gophers come & go.

The rodent blaster I am not sure how effective it would be but looks like fun
