I was wondering if there are any casters in the upstate area that would be interested in temporarily swapping molds. I know I can cast a years worth of bullets in 2 or 3 big casting sessions, and then the molds just sit. Right now the only thing I'm interested in casting that I don't have a mold for is the 9mm. I have a .357cal 6 cavity, and a .44cal 6 cavity, I also have a .314cal 2 cavity rifle mold, I have .314 sizer for my Mosin, a .312 sizer for my .303Brit, and a .309 sizer for .308Win (or any .30cal). Let me know if anyone has any interest in trying something like this out. Thanks

A die hard bullet caster will not loan a mould,it is very easy to harm a mould. using lead with zink in it,using the wrong tool to open it. warping it,and the list goes on. I don't buy a used mould unless it is from a trusted caster.I have more than 15 moulds and have been casting bullets for 50 years. I don't claim to know it all and that's why I belong to the cast bullet assn. if you want to learn to cast/shoot better join them. if you do join DON'T ask about loaning a mould. I write this to help and to impress upon you that this is a sore subject in the casting of bullets. I do want you to keep on casting but join groups that will teach you. AL
