I'm really interested in taking this but don't have a current IPSC or IDPA classification. I want to start competing more. I wonder how hard it would be to get instructors approval?

i'd email him and ask...

That's a jolly brilliant idea... I just sent an email.

I need to look into what's involved with getting an IDPA or IPSC classification anyway.

Thanks - Paul

Shooting matches with classifiers is all it takes.
IIRC you currently only shoot the Heartland match?
This isn't a USPSA or IDPA match. You'll have to start shooting the matches at H&H, OKCGC, USSA or any of the other ranges that hold sanctioned matches to get a classification.

Hey Folks thought I'd pass this on!! Here is a great chance to save some $ on Mike's book.

Well we have ran into a scheduling conflict, so we have to move the class to Sept 29-30 and Oct 1.
The Sept 29 ( Thur) is only from 6-9 pm so you might not have to take off work for that day, the 30th is all day ( Fri) and we'll shoot the OKCGC match as a class on Oct 1 (sat) and then work on some drills after the match if time allows.

Let me know if you can make the new dates.

Sorry for the change of dates.
