I have one coming.

It's true I like a 20" barrel and fixed stock, but I'm looking forward to shooting this one.

Truth is There is no one-size-fits-all 3 gun rifle. Everyone has their own preferences for comps, hand guards, stocks. Look at the other "3 gun" team guns and you'll see that they aren't exactly factory. The difference is Del Ton will fill your gun full of JP parts if you want em to!

True
But they're not really your typical shooter

The typical shooter buys marketing, not performance. The two best shooters in this game have a reason for everything they do -- and yes, like everybody else, they need every advantage they can get.

Barrel length is primarily a function of personal preference -- velocity vs. maneuverability. There is no wrong answer.

let's not talk bad about chambers sponsor... they are supporting 3gun and more importantly, supporting an oklahoman, i am just glad to see another company looking to support 3gun...

Thanks Benjamin.

Trust me guys, I wouldn't shoot a DTI rifle if it wasn't highly capable of winning in this sport. There is one more option at one more price point in the competition rifle market, and that is a very good thing!

Good replies Mike, I know when my brother built his rifle he said what would u do different, I think the only thing our rifles have in common is the Loki lower receivers.
If there would have been a del-ton lower receiver group buy early on there is a good chance are rifles would have had Del-ton lowers.
I have a feeling one the top shooters this weekend will be shooting a Del-ton, so good luck and good shooting

I think you misunderstood me.
I wasn't by any means talking bad about DTI I think it's great what they're doing.

Burk asked a question & wasn't understanding the responses he was getting. So I was simply elaborating on a couple points why this is not in line with what most would consider an OFF THE SHELF TYPE READY TO GO 3gun rifle.

Yes Mike, I agree that a 3gun rifle can be configured a million different ways & there is no right way way, it's all a matter of prefference. You are 100% correct.

I like the specs on that, even if it's not what would be considered "ideal" for most 3gunners. You have a lightweight rifle off the shelf, that's a good option for any use. My complaint would be lack of feaures for the price. Given that for an extra $159 (list price), on the Stag 3G you get the Geisselle S3G trigger (+$150), comp (+~$50), ACS stock (+$25), and stainless barrel (+$50). The DTI does have quality flip up irons included.

I'm curious what the street price on this will be, compared to the Stag.

You could order it without flip up sights and with a JP trigger if you wanted. It's like Burger King, have it your way.

I like the JP trigger much more than the Giselle, the CTR more than ACS, and I'd take NO COMP over the Stag comp. Everybody has preferences, this is just one more jumping off point.

Didn't know it would be customizable.

I wasn't saying that those options are more desirable than others, just that they are worth more $$.

Certainly a great starting point, especially if someone is looking for a multi-use carbine.

Got mine a few days ago.

First impressions...this thing is LIGHT! Without sights, it's under 6.5 lb. The two stage trigger breaks at about 3.5 lb. I still prefer my JP single stage, but that's what I'm used to shooting.

I don't have many rounds on it so far, but you'll see it at our local matches.
