Well guys I hope everyone will like the GD section enough to make it have a spot in the forum section. I wanted and requested this area and it looks like I may be only one of a few who wanted it. Oh well I hope it goes over well. Anytime you look on OSA the biggest amount of viewers is always in GD the second is the classifieds. I think if this forum wants to take off it has to have a GD area.

I am another one who wanted the off-topic forum but after the poll was in favor of not having this forum, I figured the issue was dead and let it go. I frequent other sites as well, because of their off-topic discussion but only because Boomer Shooter didn't have one, until now.

As long as everyone will 'play nice' and adhere to the guidelines set forth, this off-topic forum will be helpful and successful.

One of my favorite sites, Sniper Central has a well maintained and respectful GD area, so it can be done. Too much nonesense over at OSA, but it is nice to ba able to pose non firearm questions from time to time.

I am all for GD, If you do not like it do not use it is how I feel. Kinda like porn I really do not care for it so I do not watch it pretty simple really.

One thing is for sure no matter what they decide I'll be here either way. We all will not agree on this subject and thats fine, but I personally like it. There are so many guys on here that I respect and have picked their brains on different gun issues and they've always been more than helpful. Terry, Mike way too many too mention.

I wasn't in on the poll, but every site that I've ever visited had a GD.
The GD had the most posts.

I have been here off and on since Day one. As a matter of fact I think I am member number two or three. But anyways I have been bugging Brandon since day 1 about a GD section. looks like if you bug him enough he will eventually want you to shut up. =] or ban you lol.

Nobody has been banned. One guy got deleted! I think that's even worse!!! Of course he asked for it. No really he literally asked to be gone.

I wanted in because a lot of the folks who are generally into guns (and more specifically, the do-it-yourself-ers) are also into fixing cars, HVAC, electonics, etc... and its good to be able to bounce some of those questions off of each other.

If we're to become a community, then GD is necessary (IMHO). I already like most of the folks on this board (that I've met or talked to in person), so I'd offer up any help/advice/loaned-parts/etc. that someone needed.
