Midway: No LEO Mag and Ammo Sales Where Civilian Bans Apply

Good for them. Clearly some of the larger companies and big names are separating themselves into good guys and jack wagons. I will remember who's who when this stuff blows over.

Did you follow the link about the proposed Missouri legislation: reads just like New York's, if passed owners will have 90 days to get their guns and mags out of the state or destroyed or be prosecuted for a felony for having them. Time for CMMG and MidwayUSA to move to Oklahoma.

Confiscation is trying to come one state at a time regardless of what the feds do!

I did see the Missouri, Colorado, and Minnessota proposals. It seems the Democrats are trying to get their VOTE at the state level since they can't get it in Washington. I don't think they realize that this will cost them their jobs at the next election.

They may not care. At least some of them. This is their mentality, not just politics.

Personally CTD can kiss my ass.

How cool would it be for Colt, FN and S&W to get together and do a simultaneous announcment?
If I were these guys I'd tell the commie states AND the FED alphabet agencies (if the Feds pass something) that they don't get nothing but revolvers, single stack bottom feeders, and 10 round rifle mags after current contracts are up.

I got an email from Cheaper Than Dirt yesterday, saying they were not selling to states, blah, blah.
I don't care what those price gouging bastards do, they are still on my elephant dung list of places that will never see a single $ of mine.

In the statement from Midway, I can't tell if they are saying:

  1. they won't sell anything to anyone in these areas?
  2. they won't sell restricted items to LEO in these areas?
  3. they won't sell anything to LEO in these areas?

[text from Midway]

Currently, there are several parts of the country that have restrictions on civilian ownership of certain magazines or types of ammunition. Sometimes it is entire states and sometimes local municipalities pass these regulations, which I consider unconstitutional. At any rate, when we encounter these situations it has always been our policy not to sell to anyone in these areas, regardless of what law enforcement or government credentials they offer up. If the laws change and all law abiding citizens can buy these products we would be happy to sell to Law Enforcement, but not before then. Thanks for taking the time to be involved. I wish all firearms would follow your lead.

I think they are saying:
They won't sell "anything that is restricted" to "anyone" in those areas. "Police or Not"
