i figured i would through an idea out here and see if people would be interested, once it warms up (hopefully here shortly). I was thinking about talking to Ken at t-bird range (outdoor range in Tecumseh) to see if he would let us have a section of the range that we could do some training... meaning that we could set up a "stage" and then people could run though the stage working on certain things and the more experienced guys could help the newbies, etc.. that way there would be no pressure to perform or hit a certain time and everyone could just learn and/or work on certain things (like speed without worrying about placing poorly, etc..)
or i don't know if the okcgc would let us do it (doubt it), but i think ken would... anyways just an idea, let me know what you think..

I would do this at okcgc since there are targets and target stands and bays and most importantly it's close to my house. I am ansenior member so I can have two guests. If we want to do an official intro session I'm sure we can get permission and some guys to teach it.

P.S. You really need to join okcgc if your gonna start shooting USPSA and 3 gun. The discount for being a member almost pays for the membership.

Jesse, I am also a member of OKCGC and could bring a non-member on this board as my guest. I really would like to learn more about 3-gun and look at some of your, and other 3-gunner's, setups. Maybe when it warms up we can get something scheduled.

jesse... i would love to do it at the OKCGC, as long as everyone that wants to come can come, if you can confirm this and ask what saturday we could have one of the "bays" without interfering with anyone, we can set a date and get this rolling.. because i would love to practice the texas star a couple of times (i suck at those)

I think your talking about 2 different sessions Benjamin. If we get 5-20 new shooters to discuss the dos and dont's of 3 gun it would most likely not contain any shooting just safety and rules and equipment. If you want to come practice with us youre welcome to do so. If you really want to learn something and get some repetitive shooting with trained instructors providing feedback you could take TDSA's intro to 3 gun or Kurt Millers more advanced classes.

I'm getting busy at work now so I'm probably not gonna have many free hours while it's light outside until May for the intro to the rules and gear stuff. Youre welcome to stop buy the house for a cold one and some 3 gun BSing.
