"Major tornadic event"

Glad everyone is okay. Jesse if your FIL needs any help with cleanup I can make myself free on Thursday, just let me know.

Man that was a lot of lightning!

Trashy mobile home skirting got blown in in a few places, lost some fence and my corn is laying over, will it stand back up? oh well, all is good here! Jesse, glad yall are safe!

Thanks for all the offers to help. We have a crew of 20+ employees at our business so we will get it figured out. Here are some more pics. He was living in a double wife since his divorce last year. He was planning to build a new place this summer/fall. I guess that's a given now.

Glad everyone's ok Jesse. The one that hit Canton went right over my Grandad's house in Longdale. Not much tore up as he has an underground house built into the side of a big hill. I was working south of Wellston and tying to figure out how I was gonna get home (on the other side of the storms). We finally seen an opening and hauled ass home. I've really never be scared of the naders, but then again I'm usually only about 100' away from my fraidy hole. Being an hour+ from the house was kinda freaky.

I gotta agree, My wife and 1 year old were in El Reno while I was stuck at work. Nothing worse than being stressed about your family and having to convince a bunch of college kids from different states that the storm an hour away wont hurt them.......(yet).

I live one mile form the devastation in Piedmont. Lots of friends lost it all. When you see this stuff first hand it makes you appreciate what you have a little more. Its amazing that there was only one life lost in this area, a 15 month old little boy. His 3 year old brother is still missing.

Thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected.

Sorry to hear about your FIL's place Jesse. If you guys need any help let me know, i have tractors and tools and stuff.

EDIT. I almost forgot, if you do need help it might be a couple days, im in the hospital having my third chid right now

Good to here everyone checking in and are ok. I told my wife we know some one in every area the twisters are going start texting and find out who need's us the most. Luckly every one was ok.

Congrats on the baby! When that thing was ripping through piedmont I was thinking about you guys. Glad you're safe!

I finally got a good grasp of the damage this morning. Our property is adjacent to the Guthrie school that you keep seeing on channel 4. My FIL's couch cushions were near that weight room at the school that has no walls. We got hit way worse than the school did! If anybody is bored today and has a chain saw you're welcome to come join in the fun. I'll buy Beers and bring your pistol too. We can shoot some steel during the breaks. The twister hit my little gun range too. It tool every plate off the star, knocked down all 6 poppers and cleaned the 18 knock down plates in one shot. I'm calling this twister Accurate Ron!

That Guthrie cell sort a split out west of town.... part of it went south along Seward Road and tore up a bunch of stuff... the top half end- ran Cedar Valley and ended up tearing up at the Animal Shelter... headed over to the High School and Upper Elementary... and tore up the bus barn.

Schools closed for summer (3 days early) ... buildings and rolling stock damaged.

We were in the middle...got 2 iches of rain in about 10 seconds. The wind blew a little ... and it was over. Cooled off and the sun came out.

My wife has a "critical job" and worked night shift ...she was heading down to work and was worried she hit Edmond about when the storm got there... missed her too.

Good to hear it Jeff. I sure was worried about you when I saw the path. But kind of figured it went North of you. I call that little trick the "Logan County split" it happens all the time for some reason

Burk... I've heard the old wive's tail-indian story that tornados tend to not hit near the confluence of two or more rivers. Cottonwood and Skeleton merge near town... and a couple of other little creeks. There must be something to that... our storms then to veer like the one yesterday did most times.

O man if you guys need anything let us know. We live 2 1/2 hours away from OKC but I can bring stuff as far as needed. Prayers go out to everyone affected.
