So I ran a nordic on my last M2 and will probably buy another, but I was curious if anyone runs one of the RCI extensions or Lancer carbon fiber extensions?
I cant run one of the rci full one piece tubes because I need to be able to hook up my xrail.

The RCI I got is amazing! There is no fear of breaking it, but it is heavier. Maybe that helps keep the shotgun down. :)

I know the +2, +3, etc is the number of extra rounds in a tube, but I'm confused on which tube I want. I have the VM with an 8+1 capacity, but it's already a two-piece tube and I don't want to add another section. I want a 10 + 1 capacity and would like to stick with Nordic. Which extension do I need to have a one-piece 10 round tube?

+6

the VM has a stock +4 capacity. you take your +4 nordic off and buy a +6. or get a +2 mxt extension from shooters source and put it on your current setup

There is no production one-piece 10 round tube. You could do 8 or 9 with a VersaTube or 8, 9, 10 with a VM competition. If you have a stock 4 round magazine tube, you can't get to a one piece extension. A Nordic +6 is going to be the tube with an endcap. The MXT is the way they are making them now.

That's what I was looking for. I didn't know what the stock capacity was. Thanks for that. As for the +2 extension, that would be cheaper, but I'm a bit hesitant to have a three-piece mag tube. Is that being ridiculous, or is there some merit in keeping as few pieces as possible?

absolutely, Mark can school you on that, 1pc is ideal in an ideal world.
can the rci one piece be tuned for poi like the nordic with kurts tool?

there is no need to do so to the one piece rci tube, unless it was installed incorrectly

in which case, it can be removed and reinstalled in proper alignment

There is merit in having as few pieces as possible. That is the main reason I designed the VersaTube for the VersaMax, which offers fewer pieces than any other system. The engineers at Remington were pretty skeptical that just swapping a tube would cut group sizes, but when they put our VT on their test gun, they were convinced, and thus the design of the VM Competition.

If you are trying to cut costs, you can use a Locktite primer on the nut to tube and tube to cap threads (the fine threads), both sides and then use red locktite. Trust me, it is pretty much permanent. Don't skip the primer though as anodized aluminum is passivated and locktite fills gaps, but does not really work as intended unless you prime. I do know a few guys who locktited everything EXCEPT the endcap and they just use that to swap out springs and followers and clean, but their barrel nut is there for good.
