I need a few more mags and mag extensions for my Ruger Mark III 22/45. What do you guys recommend?

I like my Voquartsens. Pricey, but I didn't find anything I liked as well for less.

TandemKross is the best place for all 22/45 parts. He has some Plus1 bumpers that add a round, or you can cut down the factory spring guide rod where it will let your factory mags/basebads hold 1 more. All mags need to be tuned for proper reliability in the 22/45, TandemKross has a good video on doing that as well (at the bottom of the 22/45 magazine sale page).

Lots of other great reliability and go fast mods at TandemKross. I did pretty complete overhaul of my 22/45, would put it's trigger against any 1911. If you want anymore info on other mods happy to go over it all.

Majestic Arms also sells them. Not sure if any are actually better than others, but some are definitely uglier than others so that's how I'll base my decision when I get some myself.

I have two different mags and pads right now. I think the black plastic +1 version on the left came from Volquartsen. The silver metal one on the right came from Shane P who originally traded the gun to my gunsmith before I got suckered into buying it.

The metal ones feel better but dont match my all black ride.

Yeah mine is mostly black too, they look like a solid product though so I may just have to deal with it
Might have to take them to the anodize place in okc.

The only thing the TK base pads have over Brownelles is the spring assist, but when you can get 3 for less than two TK's they seem worth it. Had the retention piece break on a TK the other day, now it's just like the Brownelles.

I removed the magazine disconnect on mine so the mags spring out on their own, no need for the assist.

mine is disconnected too, they fall free, the TK mags leap out of the gun. Of course I try not to have to reload between, not during during a string.

Sounds like I better try them all.

Anybody have a preference on the actual mags?

How about a suggestion on a chunk of picatinny top rail that doesn't cost $80?

How about this one?

I've used a $30 Tactical Solutions rail on my 10/22 for years with good results, but I couldn't find any plain ones for the 22/45 that didn't come with an integral rear sight and $80 price tag.
