My son-in-law sent me some AR magazines and a few have a follower I've never seen before. Only thing stamped on them are 6P199 over 03/10 and nothing else. Anyone know how these followers do over time?
I just got a few mags on a trade that have the same followers. No name on them. They seem to be anti-tilt. My test for anti-tilt...push the follower on either end with one finger. If it moves down smoothly and without cocking..it may be good. Then try the other end. The follower should move down without any tipping..

In all honesty, if you have so few magazines that these couple of used magazines with unknown followers/springs are something you actually waste more than 5 seconds of thought on, then you clearly don't "have enough" magazines to begin with and you should focus more on buying brand new magazines right the hell now before another school shooting.
P-MAGs are $8.50 each right now. Aluminum mags are even cheaper. Brand new. In sealed wrappers. Stock up on those and when the prices sky-rocket again (THANKS OBAMA!) then worry about the internals of your used ones.
