The Full Auto/Machine Gun shoots at Heartland Gun Range have become a very popular event. It's on a Friday night, so it's a perfect time out with friends or someone special. The days of dinner and a movie have changed to dinner and bullet spray.

There is no charge to watch, $15 night pass to shoot from 6-10pm. After purchasing the night pass, you simply need to purchase ammunition from the gun range counter. They are not marking up their prices for this event. As prices go, this is about the cheapest opportunity to fire a machine gun; without joining the military.

Unlike what the media and politicians try to tell you, Machine Guns, Silencers, Short Barrel Shotguns and Short Barrel Rifles have been heavily regulated by the government since 1934. New registration of machine guns was halted in 1986. The values of those firearms have increased substantially in price since then. Because of this, most of the guns at the event are rare and worth more than the average car. For some people, this will be their only chance to shoot a real machine gun.

This is a family event. Please bring friends. We will have range officers at every lane to assist and supervise for safe operating of the firearms.

"Family Event". I love being in Oklahoma! My colleagues back in Beltway would be horrified (more than they already are).

Here, it's not only the family that prays together, stays together, but the family that sprays together, slays together.

Every hour my desire for an AR-15 increases. The rational side of my brain is saying, "Better get one while you can, and before the revolution starts. You'll need that rifle to put down the insurgents, or join them!"

The lizard part of my brain is simply saying "kill, kill, kill".

The 1980's part of my brain is saying, "I want to be a cowboy."

Tally ho!

I owe it to myself to go to one of these.

I went to the first one they had and really enjoyed myself. It was a busy event with a ton of guys bringing their young daughters or wives/girlfriends. It really was a weird sort of family event. I'd say go if you can. These events are not very common and we are very lucky to one locally.

I went to one of the first one's they had too. It was when the weather was snow & icy, but still had a big turn out. Heartland & some shooters provided chili, and I took a big tray of cookies for the event.

Had a lot of fun. First time to ever shoot anything full auto. Here's a video of me layin down some fire. Yes, the smile is real!

Full Auto Shoot

I've been to all but two of them. One the last one I went to it was Steve, his assistant, my friend, and myself. Basically a private machinegun party!

We will have an FA AK-74 at the shoot also with plenty of 5.45x39.. and there is a chance you may see an MG42 as well, if it passes the function test.

I was there. Shot the UZI, 9mm AR, AK 74, and M4.

Always fun, and much appreciated for the opportunity you guys provide us.
