M&P help ?

I have a M&p 40 worked over my Mike C. I love the gun but i cant stand the fact that after the last round is fired my slide doesn't lock back. I makes it a little hard to practice reloads. I know that this issue is well known but i guess my search skills aren't working very well this morning. What do i need to do to fix it. Thanks

Is your thumb keeping the slide lock lever pushed down? I have never seen an M&P that wouldn't lock the slide.

hmmm... That might be it. I will half to check my grip tonight. I dont think it is but i guess if it is resting on the slide release when the gun recoils it would push it down. May half to cut off that stupid thumb!

I had a Kahr that did that and it was the magazine that was the problem. Is it doing this on more than one magazine?

Could be a week mag spring not pushing the slide lock lever up in position.

Could be a bunch of different things, but my money is on the grip.

OP I cut the pad off of my slide release on the left side because I do the same thing. It's a better option than cutting your thumb off. Jamming the mag home sends the slide forward anyway...
