I handled a new Citadel (Chiappa Italy) 22 caliber copy of he M 1 carbine.........I had seen them advertised and was curious about them.........If they are reliable they would make a great addition to any ones 22 collection.

i about flipped when i saw one. i thought alllllrrright , but it wasnt a 30 cal. that would have been cool, especially since it was $300.

That's why I've always liked the Ruger 10/22, it resembles the M1 Carbine so much. We need to see one of these, someone post a pic please.

Moving to Longarms as well, it belongs there!

I recently bought one in black synthetic. I've taken it to the indoor range once. Fired about 200 rounds with no failures.
I was using Remington Golden Bullet bulk ammo.
Accuracy is really good for me. I was able to keep groups to 1" or less at 50 and 75 feet with the standard sights.
It's not a 10/22, but I think it will be a lot of fun to shoot.
I saw a few at the show last weekend starting at $299 in synthetic.
One comment I saw was about the trigger pull. I agree it's a little stiff, but I was able to adjust to it.
And it looks good...

I saw an interesting new carbine at the gun show in Greenville Saturday. It seemed to be another "replica" of an M1 carbine, but in .30 Caliber, and was made by Kahr Arms. Is anyone familiar with this rifle? It looks like it might have been made by Auto Ordnance division of Kahr.

Back in the 70s I traded off a Korean War surplus M 1 Carbine for a Browning shotgun....I mentally kick myself in the arse when I think about it.

Since I handled the one that The Gun Doctor had I am tempted, but I ain't buying anything until the 22 cal gets back to normal.

I hit the St. James Ave. Walmart this AM and nothing came in....Since I live .9 of a mile from it I can pop in there in just a few minutes if I feel good that particular day. (I have to do a 10 minute breathing treatment every AM).........

PS....I'm still surfing the net for good prices on a bulk buy.....So far everything is out of stock or over priced with ridiculous shipping.

Last time I was in ATP they had a 10/22 in an M1 style stock. Looked pretty nice but I forget what the price was.

you guys didnt look at the videos i posted. its not a 10/22.

im not saying its better but in the case i thought it was a 30 carbine.

We looked(well I did) and saw the M1 Carbine copy. I had just mentioned why I liked 10/22s as they bear a good resemblance to the M1 Carbine already. It's funny that they have aftermarket stuff now to make the 10/22 REALLY look like an M1 Carbine!

I thought it was relevant to the discussion as well. The 10/22 was *designed* to look a lot like the M1 Carbine.

Your version is cheaper than a new 10/22 + stock, regardless. So that would be a win if she is reliable!

10/22s look and function just fine in their original configuration.....I have enjoyed mine for 30 years....I put a scope on it and even tried the junk large capacity magazines........If you want a M 1 carbine in 30 cal or 22 cal buy one......A 10/22 looks like a 10/22 no matter what you do to it.....And all the after market gizmos to make 10/22s look like anything else will cost more than a M 1 22 cal copy or even a 30 cal version........my 2 cents
