So the stand is up and the first deer was killed last night out of it. A doe walked out at last light last night and I figured I would take her just so I could get the first kill on the .450 Bushmaster. 140 yards and she laid down in her tracks. Took both the kids two mornings in a row and at night and they both fell asleep during the PM hunt. My son only woke up last night because the hot brass landed on his neck and it woke him up. Turn that heater on in the stand and they snuggle right up and fall asleep. LOL

A few pics and Video of my shooting Lanes at the bottom.

That's a really nice set up you have there. It reminds me of an ice fishing shanty. Some of the really fancy ones even had facilities built in and a genny. I don't imagine the deer would ignore a genny, although you could get one of those folding sterno stoves so you could heat up water or soup.

If your Daughter finds out you posted that picture, stand by to stand by. :D

P.S. Great set-up for comfortable hunting. 8-)

You could always but a solar panel on it. Kids may even be able to play video games.

Great setup.
You are the shiznet!! Never even crossed my mind. My cell phone dies every day while i sit. Never again. Northern tool has tons of cheap solar kits.

You'll have to see the solar powered A/C system I was trying to develop for those treestands... you think you're spoiled with a HEATER... A/C is the BOMB!

shhhh its top secret!

Lol. Tell me where to sign up!!

You've got to be kidding don't tell me you are going to let the kids play video games while they're supposed to be hunting. Sorry but that's just wrong on so many levels.

I understand the cell phone charger from a safety standpoint and you could even set up a LED light system to make exiting the stand at night safer, beyond that unplug and get back to nature.

I was waiting for the troll to chime in. lol...I would never let them play games. You of all people should no better. I just want a way to charge the phone and you read my mind....Led lights on the ladder on the way down with a switch at the bottom and top to turn in on and off.

So does putting the port-o-jon up that high eliminate the need for the truck to come by and empty it? Better not stand under it!

Obviously I kid, nice set up, I am jealous.

I want to congratulate you for investing in equipment that makes going hunting with their Father appealing to your kids. It is difficult today to get them interested in spending time with parents so anything that helps is appropriate. I wouldn't have the guns I have if it were not for the bonding the collecting and shooting has brought about between my son and daughter and I. Keep up the good work , Beau.

LED lighting system is an exciting feature to add. Hunting is fun with these bright lights.
