Seems like everybody is always looking for low recoil slugs for our local 3 gun matches. What do y'all think about ordering 2-3 cases together?

Worth looking into, it is not a high volume deal for most guys but it would be nice to get some. Do you have a brand preference?

My guns all like the Fiocchi or Remington. Pricing on all of them is very similar. I don't know fo anywhere to go for a deal but I will talk to Mr. KurtM and see if he knows where to get a deal. I wasn't so much thinking about saving $ just making sure everyone had slugs for the local matches every month now that we have two matches to shoot.

Your best bet is SG Ammo. They've got good prices. If you could talk to someone, you might get them to give you a price break on a large volume. But even if you dont get the break you'd still save on the shipping by having everyone order together. Like you said, it's not really about a discount but just having the slugs. I was ordering around $200 worth of Low Recoil slugs & buckshot at a time & reselling them to the guys at the match for basically what I paid. I didn't get any price break but since I ordered so much it made the shipping cost/round much cheaper.

Is your stock pile gone?

We need to do more of those bird, buck, slug all shotgun stages. Those things will shape everyone's shotgun loading skills up.

Might be a good idea to get a group together for buck and slugs? I know after going around town trying to find some slugs I ended up finding a couple of boxes of Federal 1oz that will probably relocate my shoulder but it's just 5 so I'll live.

I'd be in for $50 worth of low recoil Rem slugs and $50 worth of low recoil buck, like has been said might not come out with a discount but bunching the shipping might save us a little and we would have them on hand. I'd be in for it! Later,

Kirk

Have you guys considered loading your own?
I started loading shot shells with the Lee Load All, that I still have, prior to getting the RCBS grand for volume. Back in the day when $ were a priority, many thousands of rounds, (and hundreds of hours) kept me in the shot shell shooting game.

The loader is under $50, and has all of the shot/powder dies included. Its a great tool to load a few round to try out before getting into production when finding the loads you want to run with. Its also a loader that rely's in part on the owners "feel" when crimping. It can also do 3"
One can also load buckshot. Utube has some good video's.

Seems like they always have Winchester low recoil in stock. Both slugs and buck. They have the Federal Truball for $179/250.
