OK, here's the deal. My son is getting married in a couple of weeks and instead of having a traditional bachelor party get together, he wants to invite all his buddies to come out for some plinking fun.

We'll be on private land so we will be able to have some fun. Most have shot a little, some may not have at all. I'm trying to think of some fun things to do like head to head mini competitions between the guys instead of just letting them stand there and shoot at a target. We'll be shooting rifles and pistols. To keep is safe, No Run and Gun, small movement may be OK if it's slow walk forward or backwards.

Here's what I've thought of so far:
1) Pistols: Set up 2 groups of 5 bowling pins and at the GO have 2 shooters see who can knock their set down first.

2) IDPA style target, Pistol with 3 rounds only, at the buzzer put 2 in the body, 1 in the head. Have a time-plus scoring similar to what we do at the Heartland match.

Throw me out some more ideas.......

buy tannerite and blow up some old tv's/anything else you can find, i promise you he will love it... it is awesome....

Something I really like in a group setting is dueling trees with a .22 rifle or pistol. Of course, you have to buy them but you would put them to use for many years after the bachelor party.

Craig (ToolBox) at RangeMaster Rowdy makes an awesome .22 tree. Click Here to see them

The smaller on is only $147 and the larger one is only $200

I konw the OK state rep if you want some.
Be warned the sheriff will pay you a visit as they did us yesterday.
Big Bang several times equals sheriff visit.
It is legal just let the people around you know what you are going to do.

A cheap, fun shooting game I used to do with the kids is tie a rope between trees, then every foot, use kite string and make a 12" drop. At the end of each drop, tie a rubber band on.
Buy a 10lb bag of charcoal briquettes, hang the briquettes on the drops. Cheap enviromentally friendly targets that explodes when hit.
Any breeze at all, the difficulty factor goes up as they swing in the wind

I like that one Dennis, a little cheap OKIE redneck engineering. Good stuff.

Come on over.
One of my friends either jack or jim might be there with some ice.
