Wade Stuteville was born in Oklahoma in December of 1972 into a family of 6 fathered by a combat veteran, gunsmith, shooter, and hunter. His father built his first rifle, a .22, for him on his fifth birthday and his first high powered bolt action rifle when he was 9. Stuteville was raised shooting, reloading, hunting, trapping, and fishing.
Stuteville married his high school sweetheart, Angie, in 1998 and has two boys ages 4 and 7. When he is not at work in the Fire Protection Industry the family shoots and reloads with him at every opportunity.
Stuteville has worked closely with his good friend and shooting partner, Preston Pritchett, on many design projects since even before the formation of Surgeon Rifles in 2004. He is proud to represent Surgeon Rifles as a sponsored shooter.
Stuteville has been shooting long range tactical matches for over 10 years. These matches require a mix of speed, precision, and tactics with a long range rifle and sometimes with a semi-auto rifle, and even a pistol. He has gained considerable experience from shooting against the best military, law enforcement, and professional long range tactical shooters in the country. Stuteville has won numerous first place titles over the years including: Badlands Tactical Training Facility Sniper Match, Tiger Valley Sniper Match, 3rd Generation Shooters Hunting Match, 3 Mils Right Training Center Match, but the accomplishment he is most proud of is winning both the Sniper’s Hide Cup and Sniper’s Hide Shooter’s Bash Match at Rifles Only in Kingsville, TX in 2010.
Protective Shooting Solutions is proud to include Wade Stuteville as a valuable addition to our Instructor Cadre.

Now I just have to find someone to lend me their long ranger. What range are you guys gonna be shooting on? Must be the high power?

I need to get hold of Charles Cowden about the O.H.P shotgun program, if anyone has any contact info that would be great. Thanks KurtM

Call troop hq and ask for the gun shop. I ran my guys through the 4 hour.course this year. It's a lot like the tsda class.

When I first read this I thought it would be to hot and it has been like a furnace around here ever since.
Now that I am kind of use to the heat...the heat is not an excuse, so let me ask.
I have a 18" AR15.
I struggle to hit paper at 300 yds.
Seems this training would be helpful for that and I would like training to shoot out to 500yds.
I enjoy shooting under the USPSA umbrella at OKCGC and USSA rifle matches and 3gun.
Can I use this gun for this training??
Michael

For those of you that thought about taking this, and could have taken this, YOU SHOULD HAVE.
I learned a ton, great teachers, lots of shooting, we even had moving targets.
Shot on the 600 Hi Power range at OKCGC.
Some of you have seen some of my previous post, "Lost My Zero ".
In that post or some where else I mentioned not being able to hit 300 yrd paper to barely hitting 300 yrd paper.
Most to the group was shooting Bolt guns with 15 to 25 power scopes.
We began with zero at 100, then shot 200, then 300 then 400 on the first day, I was shooting 1/2 to 1 MOA's.
The second day we started at 400, then 500 and the big one, 600 yds.
I was shooting .6 MOA at 600 yds, or 3 ½" groups.
I was shooting my 18" JP CTR-02, 223 Hornady 75gr Match, oh yes with my 4x scope.
My intent is not to blow my own horn as much as to share how much I learned.
I could not have done this pryor to this training.
I am way happy with what I learned.
If the training comes up again and you are thinking about it, you won't regret it.
