Lone Wolf, Storm Lake or KKM?

I don't know if I'm in for the gold......I guess i would just have to see it. But I am leaning towards the KKM.

@Jesse,,what's another $100 or 2 when it comes to this sport? lol...I do agree with you on the STI. One of these days.

Seriously those aftermarket barrels aren't necessary unless you just want the logo in the gun.

They are more accurate but the difficulties of squeezing the Glock trigger perfectly everytime nullifies what that accuracy gains you IMHO.

I shot a stock barrel in my Glocks simply because the aftermarket barrels are tighter which can reduce reliability.

I definitely agree, Jesse. I'm not necessarily looking at the change for an improvement in accuracy. Lord knows, they are already more accurate than me. Most of what I shoot is reloads. Some are plated, some are moly coated, but most are hard cast lead. So I am mainly looking for an aftermarket barrel that will allow me to shoot those without the worry of blowing apart the pistol due to whatever screwed up rifling that Glock uses. I don't really know if there is anything to that or not, but I don't want to find out the hard way either.

Think about this. Would Glock sell a barrel that would instantaneously blow up from shooting one lead bullet?

The rifling they use causes more deformation of the softer bullets which leaves small traces of lead behind. More so than a harder jacketed bullet. If your look inside the barrel you can see the lead buildup just like you can see your barrel getting dirty from shooting FMJ bullets. When its dirty clean it!

How many rounds do you shoot before cleaning the gun itself? If its everytime you shoot it and your cleaning your barrel then too there is no reason to waste money on an after Aftermarket barrel for shooting lead.

You're making perfect sense. And yes, they are cleaned after every session.

By the way, which STI? 9mm or .40? I have my own opinion here, just would like to hear yours.

An Edge or similar is the easiest to shoot. An Eagle isn't far behind and you can always add a tungsten guiderod if you want the gun heavier.
+1

I dig my Edge, find it very easy to shoot, but Ive shot Eagles and theyre just as good. Whichever you get...make sure you like the sight alignment.

reason I say that is after shooting other buddies guns, I found out my front sight was wide and rear sight was narrow...made for nice time consumption getting a good sight picture. That problem has now been remedied :)
