I was on that page for a while but the lack of moderation made me leave. Too many people making unnecessary comments about price, make and/or model of gun, "can get it cheaper at Bud's", ridiculous low ball offers, etc. To be fair, this happens on a lot of other pages, too. If the offenders were kicked off the page, it would make it better for the respectable people.

Yes there are douches that try to low ball you but it's their right to do so and it's yours to ignore them or even call them out. I always state reasonable offers considered & ignorant ones ignored or ridiculed
If they say it's cheaper on a website I "okay, thanks for the info but mine is here now , no waiting"

I don't really mind low ball offers, most of the time I just ignore them. What I don't like is the rules state that when you are invited into the group you don't make unnecessary comments about price, whether the item is junk, anything that does not contribute anything. The person(s) in charge of the page do nothing about it. Forums, like this one, don't allow that kind of stuff to happen. That's why I chose to leave the group and stay with places that are moderated better.

Not for nothing, but I can get a much better rant at my local gunshop and it even comes with some upgrades. If you really want me to take your rant seriously then you're going to have to bring more to the table. If you have anything else you want to add to your offer I'll consider it.

Oh, and by the way, I'll need a copy of your drivers license. Not a photocopy. I need you to go to the DMV and fill out an application to get a duplicate license and then give it to me.

It's not a bad page, if someone post on your topic write one of the mods and they take care of it. The page is still young and the mods will mature with the froth of the page. They will give people a chance but to constantly doing outside the guidelines they get booted. That page is a lot better than other pages I have become part of. I am not a mod on that page imo they have done well with keeping out the trash. They are constantly changing the rules to better the page. Please don't disregard the page yet give them a chance.

Ill look for you. What separates good pages from bad is the community. If that page looses good folks then it could fill with knuckleheads. We need the good to keep out the bad.

Looks like it has gone back to people complaining about prices again. Too bad, it was going pretty good for a while.

I moderate a page where we have a rule about comments on the price. We do this because a lot of the time when someone posts a negative comment or posts where they can get the same gun for a certain price it insults the poster. They get mad words get exchanged, and before long some one starts using curse words. That is a big no no and the poster, the commenter, or both will end of getting banned. If people would complain to the admins we can do our job investigate the complaint and remove the add and the poster if needed. Because of the number of adds we don't read all of them. We scan them to make sure they are following the rules for posting. That is why member complaints are helpful. Unfortunately most people never let us know when they think there is a problem in a post.

What a joke this page has become. I removed myself. No moderation at all. Too bad, gun owners need all the friends they can get. I'm on a few other gun pages and people monitor them and keep them on topic and focus. Why start a page if no one is going to be responsible enough to oversee it?
