Ok so I would like to see some pictures of loading ports on peoples shotguns that they have had dremeled for easier loading. I am not afraid to take a dremel to my shotgun just would like to see how some people have done them. So post pics or any help would be great! Thanks!

I googled, and even used the much heralded search function on BE for load port images on my JM Pro. I think I'm going to take a half round bastard to it and go slow. The milled will be pretty, but I don't want the hassle of shipping my gun. Plus I think I can get a nice profile myself.

like any other job... lay-out is the part people skimp on. Mark the metal you intend to remove with a scriber... a vise to hold the work (takes to hands to use a file right) and go slow and easy (you can't put it back on after you take it off.

If you work to the lines... then finish the edges with a finer file and stones (breaking the edges uniformly, etc) no reason you can't get work that looks like it's "milled"

In addition to some good files... find a file card and a chunk of chalk. A file won't cut clean if it's clogged up with filing and rubbing chalk on a file keeps it from picking up so much junk. The dremmel works fine for taking bulk off... and later for polishing the edges... for the steps between go easy, "leave the line" and zero the line in with a file (s) and stones.

Bring your gun up to Guthrie and we can try not to ruin it with my dremel and files.
Deal, so we will drink after and not before so we dont hurt ourselves or the gun. Yea whenever your really busy, important pro schedule allows it I will come down and then after we are done will you autograph it since you are in magazines and what not now... haha
