Your left ear catches more of the muzzle blast, get your rifle and notice the locations of your ears and you'll see.

Brian, chrome lined whomever cuts it needs to be very careful to not chip that chrome! the chrome is hard and it COULD chip so it all depends on who cuts the crown. Be sure to tell whomever you speak with that they know you have a chrome lined bore and ask if they will replace if they screw it up and the answer to that question will tell you who to take it too.

How does it shoot now? if it shoots good I'd just add a thread cover! I didn't know it was chrome lined when I said crown it. Later,
