I think this is a subject that is a favorite with about all gun owners...Lets have your ideas on favorite brands and styles...

I just traded for a Colt Defender...For those of you that don't know what a Defender is...It is a series 90 Colt 3" barreled Stainless ,45...

I want to keep it for awhile, so, I want to have knight sights installed on it...

I reallt like the 3 dot kind. But, I want the big dots. Have a set on mu Kimber and love them...Just don't know who makes them...

What would you guys go with???

My Glock 17 has Trijicon Tritium Fiber Optics (TFOs)

The exposed fiber optic helps in RAPID target acquisition either initially or transitioning.

I had a set of those on a Kimber that I just traded. And, now I have a Rock Island 1911 with a brand new set of them. They were installed at D&R's in Goose Creek, just before I traded for the gun...

They are OK...but, I am still looking...

I like the XS's...They are something I could live with...but, still looking for a set of 3 dot sights, not quite as big as the XS's....but, I marked their page to return...

I am in the market as well for some night sights for my Glock 30sf. My wife has the 3 dot Meprolights on her Glock 26, orange rear and green front. I like them a lot, especially the green front sight. Have had them for about 5 years or so and they still make a great night lite while lying next to my head in bed....

I have been reading a lot about "I-dot" sights and how the human eye can aquire a vertical sight more rapidly than a horizontal one. Over at the Glocktalk forum a lot of people swear by them. Specifically they mention these...

and these....

Curious what you all think? Anyone use the I-Dot type sights rather than the 3 dot? I am leaning towards putting the same sight as my wifes Glock 26 on my Glock 30sf just to have uniformity between the pistols but I kind of like the vertical type sight.

Hope everyone is having a nice weeknd. Cheers...

Hmmmm...bummer. I was actually looking forward to "talking night sights".

EDIT: Just a suggestion but maybe this thread would be better suited for the CCW or Handguns Sub-forums?

I'm, sorry... I thought all the sights referenced in this thread were "night sights'? Aren't all of them using at least a Tritium front sight? I'm looking to upgrade to a set for my Glock 19, as well. Looking @ TFO's, XS Big Dots, or i Pro's. Can't decide which one I want. Anyone have experience with these?

Im with Avtomat-Acolyte, My Truglo TFOs are much brighter than the meprolights I had on my Glock 22 before i made the switch. Also in daytime shooting the meprolights were very slow to acquire the front sight again. The truglos have been the best 100 bucks ive spent on an accessory..Also if someone wants the set of meprolights that came off of my glock Ill send them out if you want to pay for shipping :)

^^^^ Truglos^^^^

I'm on the TruGlo TFO bandwagon. I have them installed on three of my carry guns. Sight picture is same in day/night. Best sights for the money.
