Our next match will be July 19. Link to registration is below. I encourage everyone to register early. Be sure to do the same for everyone you invite. We will have 5 stages again, with more shooting on the move with all 3 guns. We will have rifle out to 300 yds. I will post more details of rd counts when I settle on which stages to run. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

Last month was our first match. Had 21 shooters. We expect that number to grow every month. I am finalizing the stage designs now.

Rough Counts:

Rifle:58
Pistol: 56
Shotgun: 48
Pistol or Shotgun: 21

Total:183
No Slugs, No Buckshot

We play by our rules. I basically looked at several of the rule sets from some of the best majors and made up what is now our rules. Only differences would be the Heavy Metal and Heavy Optics Rules that some are used to. For those I talked to several people who shot those classes and asked their opinion of what they preferred.

RO's shot last night. Everything went smooth. We have several fun and challenging stages this month. Several encourage, if not force you to shoot on the move. Some off-hand and weak hand shooting as well. We will be taking a 15 min. break after 3 stages. There will be drinks and snacks available for purchase.

Final Counts are:

Rifle: 60
Pistol: 54
Shotgun: 51
Shotgun or Pistol: 20

Get registered! See you Saturday!

Thanks for putting the match on, I think you guys are on the right track. I like that you guys don't just have one long range stage. You had several of them. The only thing I'd change would be to just use time plus. I was one of the ones who benefited from this type of scoring, and I still don't think it's fair. Yes it sucks that one bad stage(I had several) ruins your placing, but we are big boys we can handle it. You guys are doing a great job running it, loved the open ended bays, tough target placement, and awkward shooting positions. I'm sure we'll be back!

Thanks for coming! Glad you enjoyed it.

I am gonna sit down and put the pencil to the scoring on monday and see how close the scores stayed with the new scoring system vs. The 100 point system vs. Total time. I hope no one got screwed because of it, thats the biggest reason I dont like the 100 point system.

The open ended bays allow us to place our target wider while still utilizing the bays next to them, like stage 1 and 2. We also have a 40ft bluff that backs up our land that allows us to run open ended bays.
