It could work for a polymer lower, but who the Hell wants to SBR one of those.

take and m&p ar22 and an m&p ar-22 pistol and turn it into a 7.5" .22 sbr and if you don't live in the repressive state of MN like I do, get a can for it too. Makes for one sweet little squirrel getter.

Or just get a $100 16" m4 barrel and chop it to 7" and thread it 1/2 x 28 for a dedicated .22 upper.
Much cheaper.
