I get what ohters are saying about it, but, I love my Charles Daly 1911. Out of the box with Beveled mag well, widened lowered ejetion port, skeleton hammer and trigger, extended beaver tail, extended slide stop and extended ambi. saftey lever. Also a stainless 5" barrel, for $425 in 1998. I've never done anything to it, and have over 2000 rds. thru it, qualified for my CWP with it and it hasn't let me down yet.

Sounds nice. I'll give you $450 for that Daly -- you come out $25 ahead!

I have the american classic 2, similar to the one on that list but it has a skeletonized trigger and hammer, nice beavertail safety, and extended controls. 100 rds broke it in, flawless since. I only shoot ball since its not a carry gun. Its awesome, paid something like 400 with an extra chip mc mag brand new at Traders.

I would recommend it without hesitation.
