I'm not sure but I think that is a modified Ciener kit with the side charging upper reciever. If this is the case it's not anything new aprat from the side charging part of the show.

I wonder is its just a modded conversion kit or a true dedicated upper

I'd sure hope that the barrel is the correct twist rate for .22 making it a dedicated upper but the bolt group is a Ciener type kit making it pretty much the same as everything else on the market excpet for the Nordic uppers.

I have a dedcated Ciener kit upper and a Nodic upper and I can definitely say that the Nordic upper is a superior setup. My particular Nodic upper has been great right out of the box. The only growing pain I encountered was with ammo. My gun is very accurate with the cheap Federal bulk pack ammo in the red box while the much more expensive Federal Auto Match ammo gave very poor accuarcy. To be fair my Ceiner kit upper ran great for tens of thounsands of rounds before it became uncooperative. Replacing some parts hopefully has this particular upper on the road to recovery. lol.

Thanks for the info Rusty, I guess I should just get in on the Nordic group buy

If you'd like to shoot one let me know... lol... That'll seal the deal fo sho.

I will porbably be out at the OKCGC tomorrow evening and can bring it out.

Brian, I should have my Nordic at the .22 match at heartland on Sunday. If you're going to be there you can give it a test drive. This upper has ran pretty much 100% out of the box. I've shot it in a few matches & the only issue I've had is with ammo. I had a couple rounds that wouldn't chamber, not the rifle's fault.

I also have a setup pretty much exactly like Rusty's modified Ceiner kit & there's no comparison to the Nordic IMO. Like Rusty said, Take it for a test drive & it'll seal the deal.
