If you read on their site - they do the EXACT same - its just cosmetic differences.

I like the new model on mine, got it on my AR-10. The mod 2 is the original dog bone style. Only reason I bought them is I pulled the trigger group out many times and loosened up the holes enough they would work out under recoil.

Well in that case, I'm going with the Gen 2 mod 2 they look better to me.
