Sold/Expired knife group buy

Life is too short / precious to carry cheap steel.

These days Kershaw has a lead on Benchmade since they discontinued their red class and took the focus off customer service. Not to mention the poorly executed details. That being said, Kershaw makes Zero Tolerance.

My ZT knives are hands down the best "user knives" I own. They sell out at full retail price and can be hard to get a hold of sometimes, so I'm not expecting a group buy to pan out.
Would be nice though, there are a couple I've been eyeballing.

I have 3 Benchmades, 1 blue class, 1 black class, and 1 red class and other than price I really can't tell a difference in quality. They're all great knives.
I recently got a Spyderco Manix-2 and that thing is built like a tank as well.

The Kershaws I've owned in the past were ok, but I don't think they stood up as well as my Benchmades ever did. Maybe their quality has gotten better, I don't know. It's been 5-6 years since I broke/owned my last Kershaw.

Yeah, benchmade makes a great knife, especially their autos (black) which ironically is broken. Once I started to get picky about the details I was a little disappointed. The only difference in my reds and blues are in the matials and mechanisms.
I bought 2 BM Rifts, 1 standard with G-10, and one in M4 steel. For what you pay for a limited run collector blade, you'd expect the heat treat to be right, the bevel to match the steel, and for them to clean the grit out of the action.

Comparing the rift to the speedform II, I love the lock, the blade shape and the size of the rift, but the kershaw was just better executed. Not to mention Elmax > 154CM.

I have the Rift with the black/gray handles. The only complaint I have is that it didn't come as sharp as it should have from the factory.
I may have to look into the Kershaws again and see for myself how the quality is nowadays.
